Located between the Andes Mountains and the Ecuadorian Amazon Baños is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the country thanks to its impressive nature religious history and its proximity to the majestic Pastaza River which forms a spectacular natural canyon surrounding the city 

During this experience you will explore natural viewpoints historic bridges built with volcanic stone traditional parks religious temples and natural caves formed by ancient lava flows 

The tour begins with a panoramic view of the canyon from the San Martín Tarabita one of the best natural viewpoints in the city 

Afterwards we will continue exploring the historic center visiting iconic places such as the Basílica de Nuestra Señora del Agua Santa traditional parks an artisanal Ecuadorian chocolate factory and themysterious volcanic caves of Caverna de Sigsi Huayco 

According to ancient legends these caves could be connected to the hidden treasure of the last Inca emperor Atahualpahidden before the arrival of the Spanish conquerors 

The experience ends with a refreshing natural sugarcane juice while enjoying the impressive canyon view from the Puente San Francisco

Pastaza River Canyon Viewpoint San Martín Tarabita 

The tour begins with a short transfer to the San Martín Tarabita a spectacular natural viewpoint located above the deep canyon of the Pastaza River 

From this location you will observe

Historic Zoo Bridge Volcanic Stone Architecture 

We continue to the historic bridge located in the zoo sector built using volcanic rock blocks originating from ancient eruptions of the Tungurahua Volcano 

This bridge represents an example of traditional architecture in Baños where locals have used natural volcanic materials for generations 

Monument of San Martín de Porres 

The tour continues to the monument dedicated to Martin de Porres one of the most beloved saints in Latin America

Historic Cemetery of Baños

These caves were formed by ancient lava flows produced by volcanic eruptions thousands of years ago 

According to local legends these caves may connect to secret tunnels where the treasure of the Inca emperor Atahualpawas hidden before the arrival of the Spanish conquerors 

End of the Tour Sugarcane Juice and San Francisco Bridge Viewpoint 

To finish the experience we will visit a local square where you will taste a fresh natural sugarcane juice a traditional drink popular in the region 

From the Puente San Francisco you will enjoy a final panoramic view of the canyon and the city landscape

Only two sections are done by vehicle 

From the visitor location to San Martín
